Hi, there! My name is Jayda Petit, and I’d like to welcome you to my blog, The Glory Writer. You have no idea how long it took for this blog to finally come to life! The idea hit me in my early 20s, but life took a turn, and I never launched it—until now. This turn led to some good destinations, yet along the way I made some bad pitstops that I thought ruined my journey for good. But thank God for His grace and mercy; I’m still standing, this time with a testimony and a revelation of the One who truly cares for me.

I can recall nights, crying in my bed and searching for a blog that could encourage me during my painful seasons. I wasn’t trying to replace the Word of God, but I wondered if anyone out there could relate to all that I went through and had lived to write about it. Let’s just say, in a vast sea of blogs, I only came across a few.

Looking back, I see what God was doing. And now, He is restoring me as I magnify Him with words. All that I’ve learned about myself, God and this journey won’t be in vain because I get to share it with you. That’s what The Glory Writer is about. At one point, I was ashamed at the thought of how I once lived and believed (after salvation). But then I realized, God can take my past mistakes, and work it out for someone else’s good—and that’s a blessing.

In addition to writings about God, you’ll find posts about Christian culture and living, book reviews and thoughts of clarity I get in the middle of the night (or day). I don’t know everything, but I’m choosing to share the truth I gain in my journey of learning about God and growing in Him.

If I’m not writing, I’m busy wearing many hats to get things done. I love reading fiction, doing puzzles, journaling, traveling anywhere outside South Florida, eating good food, enjoying life with my husband, and laughing at everything.
